Using T-Mobile MDA as EDGE Modem for Laptop via Bluetooth

Many have been asking for a Bluetooth Version of MDA modem tutorial. So, I have finally have gotten around to writing up a tutorial on setting up Bluetook Modem for T-Mobile MDA. I will add images a little later.

Step One:
XP Bluetooth Device Screen

- Click on Bluetooth Devices in Control Panel
- Select paired MDA Device
- Click on Properties

Step Two:
Bluetooth Device Properties for MDA

- Click on Services

Step Three:
MDA XP Supported Services

- Select Dial-Up Networking

Step Four:
Dial-Up Networking Service Selected

- Click on ApplyA new Bluetooth modem device will be created

Step Five:
Create a New Connection

- Click on Control Panel/Network Connections
- Click on Create a New Connection
- Click Next

Step Six:
Connect to the Internet

- Select Connect to the Internet
- Click Next

Step Seven:
Setup Connection Manually

- Select Setup Connection Manually
- Click Next

Step Eight:
Connect using a Dial-Up Modem

- Select Connect using a Dial-Up Modem
- Click Next

Step Nine:
Select the Bluetooth Modem

- Select the appropriate Bluetooth Modem
- Click Next

Step Ten:
Create Connection Name

- Type in the desired Connection Name(eg. T-Mobile MDA)
- Click Next

Step Eleven:
Enter GPRS-EDGE phone number

- Enter *99#
- Click Next

Step Twelve:
Use Blank Userid and Password

- Optional If you want you can select Make this the Default Internet Connection
- Click Next

Step thirteen:
Connection Complete

- Click Finish

Step Fourteen:
Initiate Connection from New Connection Created (eg T-Mobile MDA)

- Click Dial

There you go you are now surfing teh internet through Bluetooth and T-Mobile MDA. Good luck and if any issues drop me a line.
